1. Who can sign the recall petition?

You must have been a registered voter in the Kelowna–Lake Country–Coldstream electoral district on the date Tara Armstrong was elected (October 19, 2024), and on the date you sign, you must be a registered voter anywhere in British Columbia. You can only sign one recall petition once. Elections BC

2. Where can I sign the petition?

Signatures can only be collected by registered canvassers once the official petition is issued by Elections BC — the Chief Electoral Officer approves the petition and issues petition sheets once the application meets all legislated requirements, and canvassers then have 60 days to collect signatures. Recall petitions cannot be signed online — canvassers must collect signatures in person. We’ll announce exact signing locations and dates as soon as the petition is officially issued. Elections BC

You can sign up here — no experience necessary, full training and support provided.

4, I am not eligible to sign the petition. How else can I help?

You don’t have to live in the riding to make a difference. You can volunteer (canvassing, phone banking, social media sharing, event support), donate to help fund the campaign, or sign up for updates to stay informed as the petition moves forward.

5. Can I donate to the recall campaign?

Yes — if you are a resident of BC and either a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, you can donate to the recall campaign.  Donations can be made by credit card, e-transfer, or by contacting us directly for other arrangements. More details are provided on the Donate page.

6. What happens after a recall petition is submitted?

Elections BC verifies the petition within 42 days of submission — first counting the total number of signatures to confirm the threshold was met, then checking each name to confirm the signer was eligible. If more than 40% of eligible voters sign, the MLA is removed from office and a by-election is held. BCLaws

8. Are any political parties affiliated with this recall campaign?

No. This campaign is non-partisan and welcomes voters of every political background who believe their MLA should be accountable to the commitments she made to get elected.
