A sturdy wooden voting box with a polished maple finish sits on a clean, light-grey table in a modern municipal office. A single crisp white ballot envelope, marked only with a bold checkmark symbol, is halfway inserted into the slot. Behind it, a large, out-of-focus wall map of Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream in muted blues and greens fills the background. Cool, diffused daylight enters from an unseen window, creating soft, professional shadows and subtle reflections on the tabletop. Photographed at eye level with a slight three-quarter angle and shallow depth of field, the box is in sharp focus, emphasizing accountability and local democracy. The mood is serious, calm, and professional, with photographic realism and a clean, modern aesthetic suitable for a non-profit recall campaign.

Recall Tara Armstrong for accountable representation

Why We’re Here

In October 2024, Tara Armstrong knocked on 8,000 doors across Kelowna, Lake Country, and Coldstream. She told voters she’d heard their concerns: the cost of living, housing, healthcare. She asked for their trust.

Since her election, she has voted to strip BC’s Human Rights Code from the books — legislation that protects every resident of this riding from discrimination in housing, employment, and services. She has also introduced bill after bill that have done nothing for the issues she promised to address. She has since left two separate political parties, leaving her constituents without consistent representation or a coherent political voice.

This campaign is non-partisan. We welcome voters of every political background who believe their MLA should be accountable to the commitments she made to get elected.

The recall petition application goes to Elections BC on or after April 20, 2026. Once approved, a 60 day petition period will open. We need 18,000+ signatures from registered voters in the riding. That is achievable — but only with a well-organized, well-funded campaign ready to put canvassers on the ground the day Elections BC approves the application.
